It started in 1986 with the desire of the owner, Junko Yamazaki. He wanted to create a sophisticated Italian restaurant in Tokyo. At that time, Italian cuisine was undergoing dramatic changes, including the birth of star chefs such as Gualtiero Marchesi. “Ristorante Yamazaki” started with the young 24-year-old chef who was studying under Mr. Marchesi at the time. The traditional taste of Ristorante Yamazaki, which has produced many famous chefs and has continued to attract many guests from cultural and business circles, will continue to be passed down while carving out its history.
