Japanese Cuisine Midori

Although it’s only a 5-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station, it’s a hideout for adults on the second floor. The interior of “Japanese Cuisine Midori” is a calm and relaxing Japanese space with rich wood grain. There are 6 seats at the counter where even one person can relax while enjoying conversation with the chef. There is also a Horigotatsu tatami room that can accommodate up to eight people.

Beautiful tableware and antiques add glamor to the peaceful interior. You can get a glimpse of the aesthetic sense of the owner, Tomokazu Oya, in the works commissioned by contemporary artists who have galleries in Kyoto’s Nijo Castle area.
