HAJIME

It is the shortest restaurant in the world to have been awarded three Michelin stars, and since then it has continued to attract attention with its unique worldview. The creative cuisine “HAJIME” is a 2-minute walk from Higobashi Station.

Mr. Hajime Yoneda, who bears the name of the restaurant, has a unique career: he was immersed in mathematics in high school, studied electronic engineering in college, got a job at an electronic component manufacturer, and later became a chef. In 2008, he opened his predecessor, a French restaurant, and its creative cuisine created by its meticulously calculated techniques and uncompromising inquisitiveness has earned a worldwide reputation. In 2012, aiming for a further leap forward, the restaurant was renamed to its current name, demonstrating its creativity beyond French cuisine.

The interior of the restaurant is simple with a solemn atmosphere. It is a museum-like space where you can experience the chef’s cuisine, which can be said to be a work of art. In the private room where you can face the food more intimately, you may be able to feel a little different from the main dining room.
